Filmmaking Program
12 Week Intensive Filmmaking Course
Students will learn positive self image and alternative ways to express themselves in our Filmmaking Program. Our 12 Week Intensive Filmmaking Course is specifically designed to increase our community bonding initiative, by providing tools and professional teachers to teach students the art of independent film-making from pre-production to final edit at local youth organizations in the community. The students will also have opportunities to meet guest teachers who specialize in aspects of this art form. This grant/sponsor/donation-funded program will provide equal opportunity access to art and culture by providing opportunities to learn technical and artistic skills associated with independent film-making while building character and life skills such as:

- Soft Skills: Socialization, Teamwork, Communication, Healthy Creative Outlets for Emotions, Understanding, Compromise, Leadership, How to Follow, Group-think, Follow Through, Trust, Responsibility, Self-worth, Pride, Ownership, Reliability, Honesty, Friendship and much more.
- Hard Skills: Acting, Editing, Camera work, Photography, English, Writing, Math, Scheduling, Microsoft Office, Adobe Premiere and the Creative Cloud package including Photoshop and Audition as well as Audacity for audio recording, Art, Painting, Management, Work Ethic, Self-Control Techniques, Focusing Techniques, Carpentry, Lighting, Electrics, and much more depending on the scope of the project.
